What will you be working on as a Quality Engineer ?
- Create test code for product(s), preferably in a BDD or TDD fashion
- Code reviews via pull requests
- System, System integration and Exploratory testing
- Documentation of test coverage & cases
- Use of JIRA for quality assurance
- Assist with process improvements
- Ensure that high quality software and services are produced through quality engineering practices
What experience do you need to become a Quality Engineer?
- Proficiency in languages like Pyton, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript. Python & JavaScript are preferred
- Ability to apply the Page Object Model for Web automation
- Knowledge of other design patterns are preferable (factory and abstract factory patterns)
- Proficiency in middleware testing and associated tools
- Knowledge of developing Mock Services
- Proficiency in writing SQL
- Knowledge of Data Driven Testing techniques
- Proficiency using testing frameworks
- Proficiency in using distributed source and version control tools
- Knowledge of session-based testing
Education
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quality/Test Engineering role
- ISTQB Advanced or Expert Level Certification would be highly regarded
- Experience with Puppeteer / Playwright is a plus.
