What will you be working on as the Junior DevOps Engineer?

In DevOps, we develop robust and scalable infrastructure across multiple AWS regions and are responsible for supporting multiple Dev & QE teams. We work closely with InfoSec to adhere to best security practices.

• Build & Deploy AWS resources using CloudFormation templates & CI/CD pipelines. Including but not limited to:
• Compute (ECS, EC2)
• Storage (S3)
• Databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)
• Pipelines (Codepipeline)
• Networking (VPC, Security Groups, AWS WAF)
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team, developers, quality engineers to support a culture of DevOps collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshooting application issues
• Working with third parties tools
• Atlassian Product Suite (JIRA, Bitbucket OpsGenie)
• CrowdStrike Security
• Snyk Code Scanning
• Monitoring and Alerting: 
• Utilising Monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system health and rapid issue resolution.
• Out Of Hours On-Call rostering (Weekly Rotation)
• Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of AWS infrastructure, procedures, and best practices

What experience do you need as a Junior DevOps Engineer ?

• Foundational knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Basic proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Bash, Powershell)
• Basic understanding of DB management is desireable
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge in using distributed source and version control tools
• Some experience is necessary on cloud platforms
• Work history in a technical role such as:
• Platform Engineer
• Support Engineer
• IT
• DBA
• AWS Cloud Certification is desirable.
