Meet the CORTO Accounting team  

You’ll join our Frontend Team, focused on building the next generation of accounting products for legal professionals. This team is re‑imagining and rewriting core accounting functionality, while also creating entirely new, AI‑driven products under the CORTO brand. 

The work is a mix of greenfield development and thoughtful reinvention - taking established features like timesheets, time and fees, and payment workflows, and rebuilding them with modern UX, cleaner architecture, and a long‑term product vision. You’ll work in a highly collaborative, low‑bureaucracy environment where ideas evolve quickly, designs are refined in real time, and experimentation is encouraged. 

What you’ll do

As a Front-End Developer, you will help build and enhance our AI-driven legal tech products by developing high-quality, user-focused interfaces using React, Next.js, Electron, and TypeScript. You’ll work within a modern, scalable mono-repo and collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver reliable and performant applications. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building polished user experiences, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture. 

To make this happen you will:

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React, Next.js, Electron, Tailwind and TypeScript. 
• Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces 
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive designs 
• Integrate with APIs and work with back-end engineers to ensure smooth data flow 
• Contribute to shared component libraries and monorepo architecture 
• Participate in code reviews and follow front-end best practices 
• Write unit and integration tests where appropriate 
• Debug and resolve front-end issues in a timely manner 
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows (Bitbucket) 
• Stay current with modern front-end trends and recommend improvements 

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience with React and TypeScript 
• Experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks 
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript 
• Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs 
• Experience with Git-based workflows 
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

Even better if you have;  

• Experience in the legal tech industry. 
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies. 
• Experience working in a mono-repo environment 
• Familiarity with Electron 
• Exposure to AWS-hosted applications 
• Experience with modern state/data management tools (e.g., React Query/TanStack Query, TRPC, Zustand, Jotai, Redux Toolkit) 
• Experience with modern design frameworks/component libraries (ShadCN, BaseUI, Radix)
